  1. A written declaration of death is required within 2 days either at the Civil Registry or at the Posts of the Civil Registry.
  2. The applicant will be asked to produce his identification certificate in person in the Civil Registry Office or at the Posts of the Civil Registry and then deliver.
  3. The following documents need to be presented for the officer in charge of civil registration
    1. The death certificate is issued from the doctor or hospital acknowledged in the Health Services;
    2. Original identification document of the deceased in the event that the deceased owns it.
    3. Photocopy certified by a professional of the marriage or divorce certificate in the event that the deceased has been divorced or married to enable them to write the name of his or their last spouse at the place of death. The distribution of these documents will be granted when the marriage or divorce are recorded within the Conservatory.
  4. The request you submit will be handled immediately.

Eligibility

Death declarations can be made using the following method:

  • They are the owners of the home where the death occurred
  • The able and most close person to the deceased’s family who is present
  • Additional relatives and friends of those who died that are present
  • The director or administrator of the establishment, either public or private, for instance asylum, hospital, or where the death took place;
  • The head of any cult which has witnessed the deathof a member;
  • The person or company in responsible for the arrangements.
  • Note: In the event that the corpse is abandoned the involvement is to be handled by the police or administrative authorities.
  • The declarer must be older than 18 years old.
