Renew Driver License In Uganda By Online
- Visit TLB, Banks, URA Portal to create the Renewal’ Assessment Form (PRN) Application for medical permit and application to renew permit
- Fill out the application fill it out, sign it and be sure that you have been examined by a licensed physician for physical exam.
- Visit your bank (of your preference) and pay the appropriate fees URA Fees to renew your license in the URA bank account (the bank will give you your account’s number)
- Visit the Face Technologies Office with the account receipt, completed applications forms, and your existing permit (the one you’d like to renew, you lose it, then please follow the process for duplicate).
- Face Technologies will capture your Biometric attributes and proceed to pay the necessary cost (cash) at Face Technologies for the licences renewal.
- Face Technologies will issue the renewed Permit following the payment of the necessary fees

Uganda drivers who have an current driver’s licence that has expired or is scheduled to expire
Fees
Permit renewal costs (URA):
- 1 year: 50,000 UGsh
- 2 year: 130,000 UGsh
Permit renewal charges (face technology):
- 1 year: 60,000 UGsh
- 2 year: 60,000 UGsh
Validity
The driver’s license’s validity that varies based on the length you choose i.e. between one and three years.
