How To Renew National Identity Card (Adult) In Guadeloupe
- To renew your ID card, go to the town hall in your area. If you reside in Paris you can visit an police branch that you prefer. If you live outside of the country, apply for an National Identity Card at the Consulate or Embassy. Applications must be completed in person.
- The application form can be found from the counter. Make sure you fill out the form in the correct manner and remember to fill in the forms.
- The information you are required to submit will be based on the issue date of the card you’re renewing or if you have an identity card. Notice: You may need to schedule an appointment to complete your application.
- The identity card cannot be produced on the spot, which means it cannot be issued instantly. The time it takes for the identification card to become issued is contingent on the location and time at which the application made.

If you’ve provided your phone number on the application form You will be notified via SMS that informs you that you can now take possession of an identity card. Please note that this service is not available to applications made in Paris or other locations.

- In the event that the passport appears not current: birth certificate with a validity of less than three months (extract or affiliation a full copy) Original
- In the event that the certificate of birth is not able to confirm the applicant’s citizenship: Original as well as a photocopy evidence for French nationality
- Do not possess any passports:

The identity card isn’t made on-site, so it cannot be issued instantly. The time it takes for the identification card to be issued varies on when and where the application made. For example, the time to process for applications submitted prior to summer vacation could be longer.
