  1. A person who is eligible for the permit must make a visit to The Ministry of Water and Mines, aka MEM General Directorate of Mines office within three months prior to expiration of their permission permit in force. Check out the office location and contact section for location and contact details.
  2. Make your intentions known to the MEM receptionistor secretariat front desk. Take all of the required application forms and fill them in accurately.
  3. Send the completed forms, with the accompanying documents as specified under the section below on required documents in the MEM receptionistor secretariat to register and receive an acknowledgement slip.
  4. Your application will be sent into the General Directorate of Mines office for review and recommendation by the department in charge who conducts an investigation study of the location to assess the impacts mining operations causes to the environment as well as the surrounding communities, and then prepare a report as well as its recommendation.

  7. When the commission finds that requirements for renewing the permit have been fulfilled according to law on mining, your request is approved and you will be issued the renewed and signed permit from the ministry on the acknowledgement slip, and the identity document.
