  1. A request for renewal Aerodrome Licence shall be made to the Authority on the prescribed form and must be accompanied by:
    • the manual for aerodromes;
    • details of the possible deviations in accordance with the proper specifications, design, or operation specifications;
    • details of the relevant airspace classification specifications specifics of the appropriate airspace classification requirements
    • the proper charges, as specified as per appropriate charges, as outlined in Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) or the Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC).
  2. An application to renew the Licence must be made 60 days prior to the expiration on the licence.
  3. The Authority when it is certified by the document submitted will issue a new aerodrome Licence in the form prescribed and in the manner that the Authority is satisfied that-
    • A renewal licence is subject to the compliance of the prescribed Regulations and standards set by the Authority and other conditions stipulated or announced by the Authority in accordance with the safety inspections and audit processes.

Required Documents For Renewal of Aerodrome Licence

  • There are two copies of the Aerodrome manual.
  • An aerodrome plan.
  • A report on environmental impact assessment from a previous time.
  • The approval of any authority relevant.
  • Evidence of financial capacity.
  • Specifics of any non-compliances or deviation from the aerodrome design operating or equipment standards.
  • Details about the requirements for airspace classification and the charges that are prescribed from the Authority in the Aeronautical Information Publication (AIP) or the Aeronautical Information Circular (AIC).

A person who is applying to renew an Aerodrome License for aircrafts must be able to meet the full qualifications specified in Civil Aviation Authority of the Uganda Civil Aviation Authority Regulations 27.

Fees for licences Ugsh. 1,000,000/=

Valid for 2 years

Processing Time

Maximum processing time of 30 days.
