Transfer of Old Car logo to a New Log Book (Validation of Motor Vehicles) In Uganda By Online
This is a procedure where the taxpayer enters the details of an old log book and uploads them to URA’s online motor vehicle register. URA electronic motor vehicle registration in order to obtain the new log book.
Application Online 1.
The applicant must access through the Uganda Revenue Authority web portal via Uganda Revenue Authority first, then enter your username (TIN) and password , and click Login.
Step 2.
On the left side, there is an icon that reads “Motor Vehicle Registration” choose to add details about your motor vehicle.
Step 3.
Under the Applicant’s details, choose your the office you prefer and at which you’d like to take your registration log book.
Step 4.
Enter vehicle details, then the mandatory information. After entering all details, click next

Enter the registration number of your vehicle and registration effective date. choose the type of registration and application
Step 6
Choose the front and back plates along with the serial numbers for each and submit
Step 7
An electronic acknowledgement receipt is generated following the receipt of the form
URA will inform you of the status of your application after 10 working days, after which all the required details have been received.
Required Documents For Transfer of Old Car logo to a New Log Book
- The original registration card
- Valid TIN
- Identification documents
- Affidavit letter
- Original registration books that contains transfers documents (Old Form 3) that is signed by the transferee, and stamped in the event of a business

Instructions
- You must go to the commissioner for oaths in order to get an Affidavit. Then, go on to Uganda Revenue Authority with the necessary documents.
