These are the 3 major parts of an electrical circuit, and their respective functions:
Power source – The power source is either an electrical or a battery that provides power for the load.
Conducting path – The wires carry power from the source to the load.
Load – The device that uses electricity, such as a computer or light bulb, power saw, or other devices. To control electricity flow, more complicated circuits may use light switches.
