When an electric field is zero, then will the potential also be equal to zero?

An electric field is a force. Potential or voltage is the energy needed to overcome this force.

  1. The energy needed to overcome an electrical field will be zero if it is zero.
  2. A particle can be moved from one point to another, such that A’s electric field intensity is equal to B’s at A. However, V does not equal zero.

If E is zero, V can or may not be zero.
